| I popped up and remembered I was far from home-- across an ocean, in a different country, surrounded by many magical protections. I blinked back tears and remembered that this was the school Mum went to so I could at least observe what it had been like for her. I knew she was in Ravenclaw; would she be disappointed I'm in Gryffindor? Probably not. | |

| I reached into my bag and pulled out my invisibility cloak, contemplating it. I would have to send it home soon for Mum to redo the enchantments. I could already see the faint outline of my fingers. Decision made, I wrote a quick note to Mum:
Mum,
Invis. cloak needs enchantments. I'm in Gryff. Hope you're not disappointed. Love you.
